What Do Judges Think?

Geauga County Juvenile Judge Charles E. Henry

Judge Charles E. Henry

“In my role as a Juvenile Judge I am called upon to make difficult decisions affecting children and families in Geauga County.  For example, I have to decide when, if ever, it is appropriate to return a child to a parent that may have neglected or abused a child.  Whether I make the right decision often comes down to the quality and quantity of information I receive.  That is why the role of the CASA volunteer is so important.  CASA volunteers gather information and make recommendations regarding what they believe to be in the child’s best interest.  I believe there are few opportunities where a person can make such a direct and meaningful impact on a child’s life.”
